10th April 2024 –  Skatepark jam session

  • EVENT –  Yanchep Skatepark Jam
  • TIMES –  9am – 12pm
  • LOCATION – Yanchep skatepark, Splendid Park, Yanchep, Western Australia
  • INFORMATION – Join Freestyle Now for an exhilarating FREE skatepark jam session at the Yanchep skatepark, open to all scooter, skateboard, and BMX enthusiasts of all skill levels. Our experienced Freestyle Now skatepark coaches will be on hand to guide participants in learning new skills and boosting confidence. Get ready for a day filled with exciting challenges and the chance to win some awesome prizes! Participants can look forward to engaging in fun challenges designed to cater to all skill levels. From mastering the best trick to and the lowest jump, there’s something for everyone. Who will emerge victorious in the footdown challenge? Who will claim the title of the longest jump? It’s all up for grabs! This jam session isn’t just about competition—it’s an opportunity for participants to shine among their peers and demonstrate their skills in a positive environment. Thanks to the support of the City of Wanneroo, we’re able to provide a platform for the community to witness the talent of skatepark enthusiasts firsthand and for participants to learn new skills. 10th April 2024 – Skatepark coaching session (skateboard, scooter, bmx)

  • EVENT – Cooloongup skatepark coaching session
  • TIMES – 4:00pm – 6:00pm
  • LOCATION – Cooloongup skatepark, Cooloongup, Western Australia
  • INFORMATION – Freestyle Now will be hosting a FREE skatepark coaching workshop session at the Cooloongup skatepark. The workshop sessions would be open to any participant over the age of 6 who would like to increase their skill level and get advice on tricks and gain new confidence levels but most of all everyone can have a stack of fun. Limited spare skateboards and scooters are available, bring your own helmet. These workshop sessions are more than just helping teach skills. These workshops are fun, informative and motivational. The squad members let the participants ride at their own level and encourage progression. All our instructors are very easy going and relate to the participants well. Our workshops cover all aspects of the sports, as well as equipment maintenance and personal safety issues. All equipment is checked prior to the participant’s involvement to make sure that it is in a safe condition and minor repairs or adjustments can be made if necessary. We do, however, reserve the right to not permit a participant to attend the workshop if we feel that their equipment does not meet safety requirements. All thanks to the city of Rockingham.

  • LOCATION – Cooloongup skatepark, Cooloongup, Western Australia
  • INFORMATION – Freestyle Now will be hosting a FREE coaching session at the Cooloongup skatepark for participants with she/her pronouns in bmx, skate and scooter. Participants will be able to learn new tricks or get advice on tricks and have a stack of fun. These workshop sessions are more than just helping teach skills. These workshops are fun, informative and motivational. The squad members let the participants ride at their own level and encourage progression. All our instructors are very easy going and relate to the participants well. Our workshops cover all aspects of the sports, as well as equipment maintenance and personal safety issues.   • TIMES – 12:00pm – 5:00pm
  • LOCATION – Cooloongup skatepark, Coolongup, Western Australia
  • INFORMATION – Freestyle Now will be hosting a Skatepark competition at the Cooloongup skatepark. A skatepark competition is a place for participants to showcase their skills and to demonstrate their growing skills to their friends, family, peers and the wider community. Skatepark competitions activate communities, help engage youth positively and involve community, parents, and beginner to advanced skatepark users. All thanks to the city of Rockingham. 
  • COMPETITION SCHEDULE – Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior for check in and warm up. Times are a guide only and may change slightly on the day depending on participation numbers.
    • BMX – 12:00pm
    • Scooter – 1:30pm
    • Skateboard – 3:30pm
  • HELMETS ARE COMPULSORY FOR ALL COMPETITORS (yes even skaters no matter what age you are)
  • COMPETITORS INFORMATION – All disciplines will have a limit on competitor’s numbers so make sure you register online to guarantee your placement in the competition.
  • DISCIPLINES DIVISIONS – Competitors can only enter one division but can enter multiple disciplines
    • Scooter, Skateboard, BMX – Beginner, Intermediate, Open
  • COMPETITION FORMAT – The whole skatepark can be used. Each competitor gets 2 x 1 minute individual run. Best run counts. No finals. Competitors are judged on Difficulty, diversity and consistency

  • INFORMATION – Freestyle Now will be hosting a rollerskate coaching workshop session at the Fremantle Esplanade Youth Plaza. The session will be open to any participants on rollerskates who would like to increase their skill level and get advice on tricks and gain new confidence levels but most of all everyone can have a stack of fun. These workshop sessions are more than just helping teach skills. These workshops are fun, informative and motivational. 14th April 2024 – BMX / MTB coaching jam 

  • EVENT – Bayswater BMX and MTB jump track opening

  • LOCATION – Bayswater BMX and Mountain Bike facility(Under Mooro-Beeloo Bridge), Katanning St, Bayswater. Western Australia
  • INFORMATION – Get ready to shred at the grand opening of the new Bayswater BMX and Mountain Bike facility nestled beneath the iconic Mooro-Beeloo Bridge! Join us as Freestyle Now ignites the excitement with an action-packed day filled with coaching sessions, thrilling demonstrations, and an adrenaline-fueled jumping jam session. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or just starting out, there’s something for everyone at this epic event. Our experienced coaches will be on hand to guide you through the pump tracks, offering tips and tricks to help you master the terrain. Then, prepare to be wowed as our riders showcase their skills on the jumps, soaring through the air with jaw-dropping stunts and tricks.   • INFORMATION – Freestyle Now will be hosting a skatepark competition at the Balga skatepark. All thanks to the City of Stirling. A skatepark competition is a place for participants to showcase their skills and to demonstrate their growing skills to their friends, family, peers and the wider community. Skatepark competitions activate communities, help engage youth positively and involve community, parents, and beginner to advanced skatepark users. All disciplines will have a limit on competitors numbers so make sure you register online to guarantee your placement in the competition.
  • DIVISIONS – Competitors can only enter one division but can enter multiple disciplines
    • Scooter, Skateboard, BMX – Beginner, Intermediate, Open
    • Rollerskate – Beginner, Open
    • Inline – Open
  • SCHEDULE
    • Scooter competition – check in 12pm (21 participants)

      • Definition – A run that has been done without any feet touching by mistake or crashes. – Tricks done but not pulled smooth will also come into account with consistency points – The less touches or crashes and the smoother the run the higher the score the competitor will receive.
