BMX Coaching & Flatland Fun at WestCycle Local Bike Event
Back in March, Freestyle Now rolled out to a local WestCycle organized bike event to deliver a motivational BMX coaching session and some eye-catching BMX demonstrations. The event was small but packed with energy, centered entirely around bikes and inspiring participants of all ages to ride, learn, and have fun.
Shaun Jarvis, a flatland veteran, and Jack Carwardine were on hand to guide riders. With no ramps available, Jack showed that you don’t need big obstacles to get rad, throwing down flat-ground tricks and proving that creativity and style can shine anywhere. Shaun put together smooth flatland combinations in the tight space, giving riders an inside look at advanced techniques and demonstrating how to stay controlled while still pushing the limits.
It was a hot day and the crowd was small, but the stoke was massive. Riders engaged, spectators watched in awe, and the session highlighted the power of BMX to motivate, challenge, and bring people together around bikes. Everyone walked away inspired, proving that passion and persistence can turn even the smallest setup into a place to learn, progress, and have fun.
