Freestyle Now Hits Lake Grace with BMX School Presentation and Community Session

The Freestyle Now crew headed out to Lake Grace recently for a big day of action sports, community connection and plenty of stoke. Shaun Jarvis, Cooper Wilson and Andrew Ahumada made the trip out to connect with local students and the wider community, delivering something a little different from the everyday. The day kicked off with a BMX school presentation that had the whole school buzzing. The presentation covered everything from BMX riding and staying active through sport, to the importance of kindness and treating those around you with respect. Wrapped up with live riding and plenty of crowd energy, it was the kind of session that leaves kids fired up and inspired long after the bell rings.

Lake Grace is exactly the type of community we love visiting. Getting out to regional areas and bringing action sports to young people who might not always have access to this kind of experience is a big part of what Freestyle Now is all about. Later in the afternoon the crew headed over to the Lake Grace pump track to host a community engagement coaching session and the town showed up in a big way. Locals of all ages came out to learn, have a go and connect with the riders. It was one of those sessions where the energy just keeps building, beginners finding their feet, kids progressing with every lap and the whole community rallying around something positive together. Exactly what action sports can do for a town when given the chance.

A huge thanks to the Lake Grace school, the Shire of Lake Grace and everyone who came down to the pump track as well as the whole Lake Grace community for making us feel so welcome. We had an absolute blast and hope to be back again soon. Want Freestyle Now at your school or community event? Get in touch through our website and let’s make it happen!
